ESWT Therapy

"Extracorporeal ShockWave Therapy" in English, with its Turkish translation "Shock Wave Therapy Applied Outside the Body" or shortly "Shock Therapy", is a new technique based on focusing the shock waves created outside the body on a desired area of the body by means of an ellipsoidal steel dish, with the principle of "Spark Gap Technology". It is a 'non-invasive' form of treatment.

ESWT works in accordance with electrohydraulic, electromagnetic and piezoelectric principles. Electrohydraulic shock waves are high-energy acoustic waves produced under a burst of water with a high-voltage electrode. In urology, shock wave (lithotripsy) is used primarily to help break up urolithiasis, while in orthopedics (wave racing) shock wave is used to aid tissue repair and regeneration. The application of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) in musculoskeletal disorders has been around for more than a decade and is mainly used in the treatment of sports-related overuse tendinopathies such as calcific, calcific acidic, proximal plantar fasciitis, lateral epicondylitis of the elbow. ESWT is also used in the treatment of long bone fracture association, femoral head avascular necrosis, chronic diabetic and non-diabetic ulcers, and ischemic heart disease.

ESWT Therapy (Extracorporeal ShockWave Therapy) takes part in the Regeneration stage in the RTM System. It takes place in the processes of Cleaning the Body and Supporting the Systems in the treatment triad. It is effective on the Physical Body and the Electrical Body. With the ESWT Therapy applications in the RTM System, it is aimed to accelerate the healing process in the Physical Body, to have a positive effect on the muscle and skeletal structure, and to treat the damages that have occurred in the Electrical Body.
